What if I told you… it’s not just about losing weight?

¡Oh yes, you look fabulous in a size 6. Tan glowing, abs popping, the mirror adores you, and your jeans slide on without the usual Olympic jump-and-squat maneuver to zip them up. You’re fit, you’re fierce, you’re straight out of a fitness ad. The gym claps when you walk in. The scale is your friend. People ask you what you’re doing and you humbly reply, “Oh, just watching what I eat.”Applause. Truly. Brava.

But…

What if I told you that salad isn’t just about squeezing into skinny jeans without looking like a badly packed burrito?

What if I told you that broccoli isn’t a punishment, but a gift — so your lungs can breathe properly instead of gasping like a dying air conditioner?

What if I told you that protein isn’t a fad, but a necessary fuel so your kidneys — those two silent warriors who filter everything you swallow — don’t just give up one day and file for early retirement?

And your skin? Your gut? Your vaginal microbiome (yes, that’s a thing — and yes, it matters)?

Your digestion, elimination, circulation, focus, sleep, libido, mood?

Eating well is not a trend. It’s not a detox tea ad. It’s the most badass act of self-love in a world that sells you rainbow-colored cereal with cancer in the ingredients list.

Sure, you want to be slim. Fine.

But don’t you also want to be healthy?

Because there’s nothing more tragic than a “perfect” body running on 3% battery, a dead thyroid, inflamed guts, and a spirit as empty as a politician’s campaign promise.

And please, spare me the “everything in moderation” line. Some things shouldn’t be moderated — they should be eliminated. Like soda for breakfast, refined sugar binges, and those magic weight-loss pills that, back in my home country Colombia, turned out to contain rat poison.

Yes. Rat poison.

And people popped them like candy with a smile and a dream — sacrificing their liver, their nervous system, their future — all for an aesthetic goal dressed up as “discipline.”

The problem isn’t wanting to look good.

The problem is thinking that looking good equals being well.

And spoiler alert: It doesn’t.

Do you have energy?

Do you sleep through the night?

Is your hair falling out or just your illusions?

Do you go to the bathroom like a civilized human or are you on a first-name basis with laxatives?

Your body isn’t just a figure. It’s a temple. A laboratory. A sacred, intelligent machine.

And guess what? No six-pack in the world can fix a soul that’s falling apart.

So today, with zero filters, no sweeteners, and not a single wellness cliché, I ask you: What are your real priorities?
